Travel Grants_8th Mediterranean Conference on Marine Turtles

TRAVEL GRANT

The organizers of the 8th Mediterranean Conference on Marine Turtles are pleased to announce that a limited number of travel grants are available to support students and eligible applicants wishing to attend the conference in Marathon, Attica, Greece.

Priority will be given to applicants who are presenting, demonstrate financial need, and/or come from under-represented countries in the Mediterranean region.
Applicants who can demonstrate efforts to secure additional sources of funding or matching grants will be viewed favorably.

Please note that travel support will primarily consist of accommodation (including breakfast and lunch) and is not expected to cover other travel-related expenses.
Accommodation will be provided in shared double-occupancy rooms, as assigned by the Travel Grant Chair.

The application period closes on 30 June 2026. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome by 10 August 2026.

Application procedure:

1. Register for the conference and pay the applicable registration fee.
2. Submit an abstract for consideration.
3. Complete the online travel grant application in full before the deadline.

Grant recipients are expected to:

• Attend the full duration of the conference (9–13 November 2026).
• Volunteer during the conference, as needed (further details will be provided upon confirmation).
• Acknowledge the support of the 8th Mediterranean Conference on Marine Turtles appropriately.
